Unlock your future — explore Loihde Ateljee

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.”

Technology can be like gibberish to most of us. We adopt new ways of doing things at different speeds, but rarely do we know what’s under the bonnet, and on the other hand it’s not even necessary. More important is to consider the wider image. What kind of new services will we want to have and in what contexts? How can we change our narratives, eventually our everyday lives?

We are accustomed to our thinking patterns and thought processes, naturally. Thinking in a different way, the famous out-of-the-box thinking, requires both parts of our brain to work together. In order to get something new to process on our cognitive side, we first need inspiration, emotional experiences, and feelings.

“The two hemispheres of our brain process very different data compared to each other. We can generalise that our right hemisphere of the brain is processing the new experiences, learning and trying to comprehend anything alien and unforeseen. Its role diminishes when new experience has become a familiar routine and the left hemisphere of the brain takes over the processing.”

It is also important to have different perspectives, hence a multidisciplinary approach is very much needed. Also we need different skill sets to create new concepts. Diversity is one of the key elements in creating a desirable and sustainable future for all of us. Future is done together - cooperation, collaboration and communication are key elements.

This brought the idea of Loihde Ateljee. It brings together different ideas, stakeholders, competences, companies - both business, markets and end-users. Loihde Ateljee aims to present some of those new narratives, provide food for thought, bring people together, explore different phenomena in concrete ways and create unexpected connections. This enables us all to create common ground and new understandings which enable us to make more informed decisions. Learning by doing, showing the example, making the invisible visible - to be experienced and discussed together.
