Bitfactor is now Loihde Factor

Factor indicates a contributor, matter or effect that makes the ordinary better. When the Loihde Factor employees are combined with the opportunities offered by the Loihde network, the results are magical regardless of the project.

We, at Bitfactor, have always been driven by a constant desire to develop and go boldly towards new things. This is also the case this fall, as Bitfactor gets a new look and name, and on September 1, 2021, Bitfactor becomes Loihde Factor. The change of name is part of a broader renewal that will also see all of the Group’s companies brought under the same Loihde name and brand.

Our CEO Juha Meronen is proud and enthusiastic about the new name Loihde. “It is unique, Finnish, and there is something appropriately magical about it. However, the best thing about the name is where it came from. Behind the suggested name was Jukka from our team,” Juha says. “The name Loihde Factor is a great combination of Bitfactor’s tradition and our role in the Loihde network.”

Our look has also been renewed, and you can see our fresh look on our website and in social media. Our graphic designer Tuike Rantanen, who is one of the newest Factor employees, was involved in implementing the new look.

“I did like Bitfactor’s old look, but the new look is fresh and bold. I also like the new name. I believe it can withstand the test of time better than the old one,” Tuike says.

Lasse Lakela, the head of our Helsinki office, has also carried the brand reform forward. “It has been interesting and rewarding to build a look that needs to work in a number of different formats and markets,” he says. “The new look makes great use of some of the graphic elements that have already been in use and it also adds something new to it. These choices reflect the connection to Loihde network of companies and help us build a strong and recognizable brand.”

“Cooperation is power”

Loihde Factor is part of the Loihde Group, whose history goes back almost 140 years. Back in those days, the company was established on technology that connected people by making interaction and everyday life easier. Although time has passed, the flame is still going strong. At present, the group consists a total of 6 different companies, whose more than 700 professionals build a better future with the help of technology even today. At the heart of everything we do, are the people, both customers and our own personnel. This is also culminated in our slogan: People first since 1882.

Bitfactor was also founded people first, and the core of Bitfactor is, of course, retained also in Loihde Factor. We continue our operations as the same familiar company and will work in closer cooperation with the entire Loihde network of companies. Together we can provide even better service for our customers.

“I find it really fascinating to be building a network-like operating model. It fits well with Bitfactor’s culture where cooperation, transparency, and self-motivated teams are important. Our people are constantly working in teams that consist of customers and other actors. Cooperation is power!” Juha says.

The inventor of the name Loihde and Software Specialist Jukka Ylikärppä, and Jaakko Saikkonen, who works in the sales of Loihde Factor, also see opportunities in network thinking.

“After all, we live in interesting and exciting times as, with the reform, we will become a more cohesive network that also offers many more opportunities for both employees and customers. It has also been fun to get to know new people. At the same time, I feel a little sad as we are giving up the name Bitfactor,” says Jukka.

"Cooperation with the other Loihde companies has started well and we are constantly learning more about each other,” Jaakko says. “In the future, the goal is that our various business operations, such as sales, marketing and recruitment, will become more strongly linked to build a greater and more beautiful entity.

For us, Loihde is a network where happy and competent people work their magic together and separately in their own field of expertise. Read more about Loihde and other companies in the networkon the Loihde website.
